Our boat restoration project
Location: Shewsbury
We undertook the entire conversion process, designing the interior and the decking to the clients requirements, the boat was insulated and new window reveals were fitted, poplar ply glued in to give a seamless look, contrasting sapele trims let for a touch of class. Touch activated warm white nautical reading lights. Steambent window follows the natural curvature of the boat and is an ideal timber for exterior use due to its natural resin content.
The seating area houses storage for the bed linens, as the seating area can be converted into a double bead, the kitchen is fitted with a marine grade swiveling top cooker. a deep sink for washing and two cupboards for storage. The countertop is hardwood with a hinged flap to extend counter space as needed.
The exterior seating area features solid sapele barn style doors. The decking has a maintenance hatch with polished chrome flush hinges.
The decking has been routed out every 40mm then filled with a sandable sealant to mask the joins and for an aesthetic appearance.
